Green Bay has an early bye week in Week 5.

It’s finally here. After days of leaks trickling out, the NFL has released its schedule for the 2025 regular season. This year, they seemingly did the Green Bay Packers few favors, leaving the team with an early bye week, some tough rest situations, and a heavy dose of road games over the final stretch of the season.

Green Bay will open the season at home for the first time since 2018, a welcome change from five straight road openers. However, that game will be no cake walk, as it comes against the reigning NFC North champion Detroit Lions. The two teams will then play their rematch on Thanksgiving Day, which has become a common occurrence in odd-numbered years since 2001.

The Packers will follow that opener up with another home game in Week 2, but this one coming on short rest. They will host the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football, giving them games against the NFC’s #1 seed from a year ago and the team that beat them in the Divisional Playoffs to advance to the NFC Championship Game.

Green Bay will have an early bye week this season, with that coming in Week 5. That will set up 13 straight game weeks to close the year, with one of those being a short week with the Thanksgiving Day game. Thankfully, the Packers avoided playing on Christmas Day as well, whereas the Lions will end up playing on both holidays this season, even though both take place on Thursdays.

The Packers’ divisional schedule is an interesting one this season as well. They close the season in Minnesota, playing the Vikings in their second matchup of the season after a Week 12 date at Lambeau Field. In between, Green Bay will face the Chicago Bears twice in the span of 13 days, getting them at Lambeau in week 14 before a Saturday game in Week 16 at Soldier Field.

There are six national broadcasts on the schedule as well, including the Commanders game and the date with the Lions on Thanksgiving Day. However, the Packers play two other NFC East teams in prime time, as they will face the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football in Week 4 and the Philadelphia Eagles at home on Monday Night Football in Week 10. Green Bay also has a Sunday Night Football matchup on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8, which may end up being Aaron Rodgers’ first game against the Packers if he ends up signing with Pittsburgh, and their late-season Saturday game with the Bears will be a standalone game as well.

Additionally, the Packers’ preseason schedule is here, featuring the following games:
