The Green Bay Packers had their first practice of the week on Monday, as the team prepares to face the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6. As head coach Matt LaFleur alluded to during the bye week, receiver Christian Watson, who tore his ACL 274 days ago, did have his practice window open up on Monday, as he participated in on-field work.

Currently on the physically unable to perform list, Watson is allowed to practice with the team for up to 20 days before the Packers need to decide to call him up to their 53-man active roster or shut him down for the season. At the moment, Green Bay has two open roster spots on its active roster, so it’s expected that Watson will return to game action sooner rather than later.

Packers backup center Jacob Monk, who went on the injured reserve at the cutdown deadline for a hamstring issue, also had his practice window opened on Monday. Meanwhile, running back MarShawn Lloyd, offensive lineman John Williams and defensive end Collin Oliver remain on the injury lists and have not had their practice windows open. We’re going to have to wait a little bit for them to put on a helmet.

Other players who were non-participants in Green Bay’s Monday practice were tackle Anthony Belton, who was injured during practice leading up to the Dallas Cowboys game in Week 4, and defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt, who was injured against the Cowboys. Wyatt’s knee injury was described by LaFleur as “week to week” during the bye week. Without Wyatt, undrafted rookie Nazir Stackhouse had to play north of 50 percent of the Packers’ defensive tackle snaps post-Wyatt injury. The results? Stackhouse was Pro Football Focus’ lowest-graded Packer, at any position, for any individual game this season, for his effort versus Dallas.
