Pablo Torre, via his investigative podcast Pablo Torre Finds Out, has become one of the most exciting sports journalists in the game as he’s uncovered the Sopranos-themed pitch tape the Knicks made for LeBron James, provided deep dives into Bill Belichick’s relationship with Jordon Hudson, and, most recently, uncovered collusion within the NFL.
The gist of Pablo Torre’s latest investigative journalist is this: he and his team found hard, compelling evidence that NFL owners have been colluding to suppress guaranteed money in player contracts.
Along longtime NFL writer Mike Florio, who is also a lawyer, the pair uncovered internal conversations between league executives and union representatives designed to preserve a status quo detrimental to players’ financial interests.

Fox Sports Radio host AND University of Green Bay head coach Doug Gottlieb — Weird, right? More on this later — however, apparently found Torre’s reporting to be “disingenuous” and “gotcha journalist.”
“Pablo Torre as a guest is amazing. Pablo Torre, as a host, at times, can be a little exhausting. And I’ll tell you why,” Gottlieb said on his Fox Sports Radio show.
“He’s way too smart to be talking about sports, and he’s searching so bad for that, ‘Ah-ha, gotcha,’ that I think he’s being disingenuous or he’s frankly misusing the idea of collusion.”

The last time a fellow sports media personality chirped at Pablo Torre was earlier this year, when Bill Simmons took issue with his reporting on the Hudson/Belichick story.
After Torre replied to Simmons, suggesting he had some questions for him, too, Simmons folded like a house of cards and had Torre on his podcast a few days later.
The point is: Torre is NOT someone you want sniffing around your business and Doug Gottlieb — who seems to have a very strange arrangement with the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay as he stayed on has head coach despite still being able to host his radio show and going 4-28 in his first season.
