The NFL Network will cover 21 live preseason games in August, including the Pittsburgh Steelers’ preseason finale game against the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 21. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

The Steelers and Panthers are traditional opponents in the preseason, but they haven’t played each other in an exhibition game since 2021.

Panthers head coach Dave Canales reached out to the Steelers to gauge their interest in having a joint practice ahead of their preseason matchup on Aug. 21. However, that will not occur. The Steelers will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a joint practice ahead of their Week 2 preseason game against Tampa Bay on Saturday, Aug. 17.

This will be the second consecutive season the Steelers will have participated in a joint practice. They hosted the Buffalo Bills for one last offseason, days before the Steelers met the Bills in a preseason game at Acrisure Stadium.

Pittsburgh kicks off its preseason schedule with a road game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Aug. 9. The Steelers’ preseason games against the Jaguars and Buccaneers will air locally on KDKA, but not live on the NFL Network.

The Steelers will return to their training camp home of St. Vincent College near Latrobe, Pa., for the 58th season, the team announced on Wednesday, and they have also released their full practice schedule for the popular open practices this summer.

The Steelers will host fans for 14 open practice sessions at Chuck Noll Field on the campus of St. Vincent College during training camp this year, and will also have their annual Friday Night Lights practice at Latrobe Memorial Stadium.
