The Pittsburgh Steelers now have another option to address their wide receiver room, should they choose to. Former Tennessee Titans first-round draft pick, wide receiver Treylon Burks, has been cleared to return to action after an offseason collarbone injury, according to a report by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Burks, the No. 18 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, was released by the Titans this summer with an injury settlement. In three seasons in Tennessee, he never lived up to expectations. Burks played in just 11 games in each of his first two seasons and only five games last season due to injuries.

His bad injury luck continued this summer, too, when he suffered a fractured collarbone at training camp. That put his status for the 2025 season up in the air, and the Titans felt it was best to move on. Burks has 53 receptions for 699 yards and one touchdown in his three-year professional career.

However, Burks could still be an intriguing player for a wide receiver-needy team like the Steelers, as a once highly-touted prospect. At 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, he would provide another outside receiver to pair with DK Metcalf. While his change-of-direction ability was an issue in pre-draft testing, he could be an effective clear-out option and deep target, with a career 14.2 average depth of target.

During his last two years at the University of Arkansas, he racked up 117 catches for 1,924 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also added 187 yards and a score on the ground.
