Which Detroit Lions player do you think needs to elevate their game to a new level during the last three weeks of the regular season?

Time flies when you are having fun, right? With only three weeks remaining in the regular season, the Detroit Lions are still firmly in control of their own destiny at 12-2 atop the NFC. All they need to do is handle their business these next few weeks, and everything will line up just the way they had planned prior to year getting underway.

That brings us to today’s Question of the Day:

Which player needs to take their game to a new level during the last stretch of the regular season?

My answer: It seems like an obvious answer, but I am going with star running back Jahmyr Gibbs. Simply put, Gibbs is one of the most dynamic players in the entire NFL with the ball in his hands. He can turn a routine second-down rushing attempt into a house call, and routinely puts defenders on his highlight reels.

In 2024, the second-year back out of the University of Alabama has taken off. He has racked up 1,047 yards and 11 touchdowns on 186 carries, while also logging 39 receptions for another 395 yards and three more scores.

With veteran running back David Montgomery dealing with a knee injury for at least the rest of the regular season, Gibbs will be counted on even more. And while I don’t think Gibbs is going to see that significant of an increase with his touches, I do think the Lions are going to need even more production out of him in order to lock up their second straight NFC North title and the number one overall seed in the NFC.

How about you? Who do you think needs to take their game to new levels over the next three weeks? Let us know in the comments below.
