Season two of Netflix’s “Quarterback” has dropped! What are you hoping to see from Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff?
On Tuesday, July 8, season two of Netflix’s NFL docuseries “Quarterback” debuted. That’s of extra interesting to Detroit Lions fans, as Jared Goff is one of three quarterbacks examined in the show, which details the 2024 season. Joe Burrow and Kirk Cousins are the other two stars of season two.
For a top-10 quarterback, Goff lives a fairly private lifestyle off the field. Yes, he has a supermodel wife, but Goff isn’t overly active on social media, he’s not exactly welcoming about his personal life to local reporters, and he isn’t someone that actively seeks out attention. So this behind-the-scenes look at Goff’s life should provide a lot of new things to his fans.
Today’s Question of the Day is:
My answer: It’ll be nice to see the personal side of Goff, but I’m still more interested in some of the football aspects of his life.
Coaches have praised Goff’s ability to command an offense and really master the game of football. He’s been especially great at pre-snap reads and quickly diagnosing plays in order to find the open receiver.
What I want to see is what that preparation looks like. It would be really cool to see how much of a film junkie he is, what his relationship is like between coaches like Mark Brunell, Ben Johnson, and, of course, Dan Campbell. More than anything else, I want to see Goff shine where people don’t give him enough credit: his football IQ. I’m not sure if that’s something that’s easily captured—of if it’s interesting enough for the casual fan—but I think that would be an awesome use of their time.
