This might be the Bears last shot to beat their nemesis.
For this question, I am looking for your emotional response. I don’t want a practical answer.
I understand that it’s better for the Chicago Bears to beat the Green Bay Packers from a logistical standpoint. It’s a division opponent and a conference opponent, and a victory there is far more beneficial than beating an AFC opponent.
I don’t want to hear about logic, I want your emotional response.
Maybe my viewpoint is different from other Bears fans. I understand the old question, “Would you rather go 14-2 and lose to the Packers twice or 2-14 and beat the Packers twice?”
I know how much those games mean to Bears fans. I understand the rivalry. But I also think Bears fans have a rivalry specifically with Aaron Rodgers. I think Bears fans don’t just want to beat Rodgers, I think they hate Rodgers (I know I do).
My answer: If Aaron Rodgers left the Green Bay Packers 10 years ago and was on some random NFC team, and you posed this question to me, I would 100% say that I would rather see the Bears beat the Packers.
But this year is different. As I mentioned a couple of days ago in my article about the Bears needing to own Aaron Rodgers this year, this is probably it. This is the Bears’ last chance to beat Aaron Rodgers.
It’s possible the Bears somehow, someway, face Aaron Rodgers one more time after this season, but the odds that this is the last time the Bears face Rodgers are near 100%.
I need to beat Aaron Rodgers one more time. He’s beaten the Bears 8 straight times. He’s 24-5 against this team. I mean, I want to beat the Packers. I want to beat them every year.
But in 2025? Practicality aside, if you said Do you want to hang an L on the Green Bay Packers or would you rather hang one on Aaron Rodgers? Give me an Aaron Rodgers beatdown.
What do you say, Bears fans? Do you agree? Would you rather beat Aaron Rodgers over the Green Bay Packers this year? Sound off below!
