It’s Super Bowl week, so let’s ask a bold question and have some fun!
The Super Bowl is just a few days away. and while we see Patrick Mahomes playing in his fifth Super Bowl in six years, we can sit here as Chicago Bears fans and understand that that’s the dream.
Caleb Williams has stated that he wants to chase Tom Brady’s numbers and become the GOAT. Ben Johnson is here and has the potential to be the next hot-shot offensive head coach. Could the two of them together become something great?
The safe answer is zero, but what fun is that? And how about a little optimism? We are curious what the fans think. If you think it’s a minimum 8-peat, let’s hear it. Do you think it’s more like LeBron James, “not one, not two, not three, not four...”
My answer: When I say this, I want to be wrong because while I think this is an optimistic view, I would love it to be a lot more than this, but my answer is two.
Look, I think we’d all jump for joy if Johnson and Williams win one Super Bowl together. The Bears haven’t won one in forty years, so suddenly believing they are going to win five is tough to imagine (although it certainly would be glorious). But I think two is a good optimistic number.
If you believe Johnson and Williams will truly create a dynamic offense together, then let’s believe that they can not only reach the summit but become a consistent threat when they are at that summit and bring home more than one Lombardi Trophy.
