Christian McCaffrey has left his family behind.

In March, the San Francisco 49ers star and former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo announced they were expecting. She confirmed she gave birth to her and the San Francisco 49ers star’s first baby, a baby girl, on July 13.

“Colette Annalise McCaffrey,” Olivia wrote, captioning an Instagram post featuring several black-and-white photos of the trio at the hospital, adding to her Instagram Stories, “Colette is so lucky to have the best daddy in the world. A love like no other.”

Culpo gushed over husband Christian McCaffrey as she commemorated the start of his first NFL training camp as a new dad on Monday.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model said they will miss the 49ers’ All-Pro running back when he returns to work.

“Best daddy in the world goes to camp today. Everyone go wish him luck @christianmccaffrey,” Culpo wrote, including a black and white photo of McCaffrey gazing at their newborn.

McCaffrey missed the first eight games of the 2024 season due to bilateral Achilles tendinitis, then sat out the final five games with a posterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee.

Christian McCaffrey Hoping For A Bounce-Back Campaign In 2025

It’s hard to know what to expect from Christian McCaffrey this year, considering he missed 13 games last season.

He says he’s healthy, and the 49ers say he is too. He participated in every OTA and minicamp practice, and he didn’t appear to suffer any setbacks.

Bleacher Report says McCaffrey is the biggest bounce-back candidate in the NFL this year.

“When healthy, McCaffrey is arguably the best fantasy running back to roster, but he comes with significant risk because of his recent injury history,” writes Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton.

“McCaffrey has missed 10 or more games in three of the last five seasons. Moreover, San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan talked about protecting the star running back from himself following an injury-riddled campaign.

“Managers should expect a lighter workload for McCaffrey compared to recent years, but he’s still one of the league’s best pass-catching running backs.

“In the five seasons that McCaffrey hasn’t missed more than one outing, he caught at least 67 passes and finished within the top 10 in scoring among running backs. Even with fewer carries, he’s a tier 1 fantasy tailback.”

In 2023, McCaffrey led the NFL with 2,203 yards from scrimmage, 21 touchdowns from scrimmage, and 1,459 rushing yards and was named NFL Offensive Player of the Year.

McCaffrey finished the 2024 season with 50 carries for 202 yards plus 15 receptions for 146 yards. He had no touchdowns.
