At DraftKings Sportsbook, the Pittsburgh Steelers are currently 3-point favorites over the New York Jets for their Week 1 meeting at MetLife Stadium. The over/under is set at 37.5 points.

The Steelers made a slew of moves this offseason. The roster turnover is truly unprecedented, as Pittsburgh will go into the 2025 season with nine new starters.

Despite the major turnover, the Steelers are favored in only six of their 17 games in 2025. The oddsmakers are apparently not too impressed with the additions of Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Darius Slay, Jalen Ramsey and Jonnu Smith.

The Steelers are listed as favorites in Week 1 at the Jets (-3), Week 2 vs. the Seahawks (-1.5), Week 6 vs. the Browns (-6.5), Week 9 vs. the Colts (-3.5), Week 15 vs. the Dolphins (-2.5), and Week 17 at the Browns (-2.5).

The over/under for the Steelers’ total wins in the 2025 is still set at 8.5 wins.

The Steelers’ Super Bowl odds at FanDuel sportsbook increased after landing Jalen Ramsey and Jonnu Smith, but it was nothing drastic. The Steelers’ odds to win the Super Bowl before the trade were at +4700. They are now at +4400, which was tied with the Chicago Bears for 16th-best odds. The Bears have since moved to +4300.

At DraftKings sportsbook, Pittsburgh (+3500) and Miami’s (+8000) Super Bowl odds did not change at all after the blockbuster trade. As of late August, the Steelers’ Super Bowl odds remain at +3500. They have +1600 odds to win the AFC Championship.

The Week 1 showdown between the Steelers and Jets has a slew of headlines. Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers returns to MetLife Stadium after a nasty breakup with the Jets organization. Jets QB Justin Fields will also be out for revenge on the Steelers.

Rodgers is not afraid to speak his mind, especially when someone crosses him. That was the case with the Jets this offseason when they released the four-time NFL MVP. How the Jets handled the whole situation did not sit well with Rodgers.

“That’s the way it goes sometimes,” Rodgers told Kyle Brandt of NFL Network when asked about the Steelers facing the Jets in Week 1. “Did they have any inside information? I don’t know. Who were they talking to? I don’t know. But, start off with the Jets, then play Seattle, where DK (Metcalf) just came from… But I’m excited. Get to play the Jets, play the Packers, play the Bears, play the Vikings. It’ll be fun.”

According to former NFL offensive lineman Mark Schlereth, who is a close friend of Rodgers, the future Hall of Fame quarterback went on a long-winded rant about how dysfunctional the Jets’ organization was during his two-year tenure.

“Aaron and I had a conversation about when he was with the Jets was how abysmal their running game was and how schematically it made no sense,” Schlereth said on The Stinkin Truth Podcast in June. “I started the conversation, and then Aaron went on for about a...
