After Sunday night’s decisive loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, the Pittsburgh Steelers have the Baltimore Ravens breathing down their necks. Betting odds reflect the heat that’s on Mike Tomlin’s team down the stretch.

Despite having held a comfortable lead in the AFC North just weeks ago, the Steelers are +270 to win the division crown, according to FanDuel. John Harbaugh’s Ravens are favored to come out on top with -270 odds. The Cincinnati Bengals’ chances are set at +1700, with the Cleveland Browns being +17500 long shots.

Midway through October, the Steelers were set up to run away with the lead. Heading into a Thursday night road clash with the Cincinnati Bengals, Tomlin’s crew could have improved to 5-1.

“(If) the Steelers win tonight, this division is blouses. It’s a wrap, OK?” ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky said then. “If you’re the Steelers and you win tonight, you have, I think it would be, a three-and-a-half-game lead on the division.”

Instead, the Steelers dropped a 33-31 result and have lost three of their last four games, putting their record at 5-4. Meanwhile, the Ravens have been on the mend after starting 1-5. Two-time Associated Press NFL MVP Lamar Jackson returned late last month from a hamstring injury and his team enters next week’s clash at Cleveland having won three in a row.

The Steelers haven’t won an AFC North title since going 12-4 in 2020. They travel to face the Ravens on Dec. 7 and will host them in Week 18. Given their current circumstances, those two tilts will go a long way in deciding who raises the banner.
