A video has surfaced of a young fan trolling Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins while he was sitting with his family at an event.
The four-time Pro Bowler is entering the second season of a four-year, $180 million deal he signed with the Falcons a year ago. But this time, Cousins will open the season as the backup behind starter Michael Penix Jr., who replaced the struggling veteran late last season.
In a video that is going viral, a fan incorrectly asked Kirk Cousins which team he played for. It’s unclear which team the fan mentioned, but Cousins corrected him by awkwardly stating, “Vikings.” The fan then says, “My bad, my bad.”

Hate to see this.

The 36-year-old Kirk Cousins played for the Washington Commanders and Minnesota Vikings before signing with the Falcons. The fan certainly did not mention Commanders before Cousins corrected him, making that interaction all the more cringeworthy.
Atlanta kicks off the 2025 season with a home contest against the NFC South rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sept. 7 (1:00 p.m. EST).
The Falcons were the trendy pick to win the NFC South after winning the Cousins sweepstakes last year, but it simply did not go as advertised. He threw 18 touchdowns against 16 interceptions in 14 games before getting benched in favor of Penix, with the 88.6 passer rating also marking his lowest as a starting QB.
