Jets cornerback Kris Boyd was reportedly shot in the abdomen overnight in midtown Manhattan, according to the New York Post. He is in critical condition at Bellevue Hospital.
The Post says that police did not confirm that Boyd was the victim in the shooting, but that the Post had been able to independently confirm through sources that it was, unfortunately, Boyd.
According to reports, the shooting occurred after a dispute outside of a Manhattan restaurant, which ended with a gunman firing two shots at Boyd. His condition is critical, but he is reportedly stable.
Obviously, the most important thing here is Boyd’s health and well being, and we wish him a fast and full recovery. We will update this story as more details become available.
