NY Giants updated 2026 NFL Draft order: Current 1st-round pick before Week 18

The New York Giants hold the second overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft after beating the Las Vegas Raiders 34-10 on Sunday.

The Giants would have secured the first overall pick with a loss against the Raiders — a loss that looked very possible before Bobby Okereke’s interception. However, the Cleveland Browns victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers means that the Giants still have the No. 2 overall pick.

The Browns’ win also potentially locks the Giants into the second overall pick with a loss next week against the Dallas Cowboys. That would leave Giants fans watching underclassmen declarations keenly, as a big trade could still be possible. That, of course, would require either Oregon quarterback Dante Moore or Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson declare for the draft.

The other good news for the Giants is that the first overall pick is still on the table.

The Giants can still come out of the 2025 season with the first overall pick if they lose to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 18, provided the Raiders also beat the Kansas City Chiefs. That might be unlikely, as Raiders’ quarterback Geno Smith suffered an ankle injury against the Giants and the Raiders will likely start Kenny Pickett against the Chiefs.
