Crossing Broad
A reader sent this over. The Birds fans of Havertown are getting restless:
Incredible scene, is it not? Do they teach this in photography class? In the foreground, you’ve got a FIRE POOPTULLO sign sticking out of a garbage can. In the background is the Children’s Book World of Havertown, next door to the Marlyn Schiff jewelry store. This is right across Lancaster Avenue from The Haverford School, which has a tuition cost of $40 million dollars a year per child (conservative estimate). There’s a train station a block away. If the Main Liners are this mad about the Birds, then imagine what the scene must be like in blue collar South Philly, or Boyertown. They’d put Kevin Patullo himself inside the trash can and send it to the old Pottstown landfill.
The Birds need a win.
