No surprise inactives as Jalen Milroe active for Seahawks opener

The Seattle Seahawks open the second season of the Mike Macdonald era Sunday afternoon at Lumen Field by hosting the San Francisco 49ers, giving fans the first chance to see the new offense of Klint Kubiak, as well as the 2025 rookies in action for the first time.

One interesting storyline has been how the team will make use of the unique skillset of rookie quarterback Jalen Milroe. It appears as though fans will likely get their first chance to see exactly some of what the coaching staff has up their sleeve for the speedy young signal caller, as Milroe will be active against the Niners. That, of course, makes for some extra intrigue in short yardage and red zone situations.

So, the full list of inactives for the Seahawks is:

  • WR Jake Bobo
  • WR Dareke Young
  • TE Nick Kallerup
  • OL Mason Richman
  • LB Uchenna Nwosu
  • LB Jared Ivey
  • LB Connor O’Toole

In addition, for those who had wondered whether 49ers All Pro running back Christian McCaffrey might miss the game after leaving practice during the week with a calf injury, the answer to that question is that CMC is set to play.
