No limitations for Cowboys starters tomorrow vs. Commanders

No limitations for Cowboys starters tomorrow vs. Commanders
Inside The Star Inside The Star

The Dallas Cowboys play on Christmas tomorrow afternoon at noon, and the good news is they can’t crush us anymore than they already have this season.

They will play the Washington Commanders and a bunch of backups, but it has already been said that Dallas will play all of their starters and not rest them, and honestly I don’t care either way at this point.

I understand that you can’t just sit with the guys that make this type of money and expect everyone to be okay with that, but I will enjoy my day nonetheless. Take a look at the information regarding the game below.

Experiment Time

If the starters are planning to play, at least do the right thing and try them out in other spots.

A prime example is what Dallas is doing with Tyler Smith for the rest of the season. He will finish the year as the starting left tackle.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan said they have no plans to sit starters for a potential better draft pick. They'll be playing to win these final three games.

Dallas has just a 1% chance at playoffs and if the Eagles win Sunday vs. the Commanders, then the Cowboys will…

Clearly, nothing was working on the defensive side of the ball, they moved Matt Eberflus to the booth, and what happened? The Chargers scored on every single possession in the first half, and all but two in the second.

I don’t even know what they can experiment with on that side of the ball. It is that bad of a unit that has no solution in sight.

This also comes with a lot of risk. The matter we have seen players get hurt this year with Daniel Jones, Patrick Mahomes, Micah Parsons.

What if something happens to the guy you are paying $60 million dollars to, or the wideout star who goes for over 1,000 yards every single year. The offense is not the issue, but if one of these guys gets hurt, it then becomes a major concern for next year.

So I can see it both ways. I like them playing at least this week because of the type of money they are getting paid, and you have to try and figure out things that work heading into the offseason, draft, summer, and everything else.

I bet the Cowboys get up big against the Commanders backups, and we will see guys like Joe Milton again.
