The initial Pro Bowl rosters for 2025 have been announced. No Jets have been named to the AFC team.
Two members of the team, Breece Hall and Isaiah Williams, were named as alternates.
It isn’t a surprise to see the Jets unrepresented among Pro Bowl picks. It has been a difficult season with few standout performances. Additionally, two of the team’s top three players in Week 1, Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams, were traded in season. The remaining star player, Garrett Wilson, has missed half the season injured.
As alternates Hall and Williams could potentially make the Pro Bowl Games. Numerous initial picks do not participate. Some skip due to injury. Others opt out because they aren’t interested. The Pro Bowl Games also take place the weekend before the Super Bowl so any selections on a Super Bowl team can’t participate.
The Pro Bowl Games changed a few years ago from an actual football game into a skills competition that culminates with a flag football game.
