AJ Brown is with the New England Patriots after the Philadelphia Eagles traded him away for a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick. During his time in Philly, Brown’s relationship with head coach Nick Sirianni seemed to be a bit of a roller coaster, as there were some highs and lows.

With Brown no longer with the organization, Sirianni finally shared a departing message to the 28-year-old wide receiver, according to Eric Edholm of NFL.com. The Eagles’ head coach praised Brown for his time playing in Philadelphia and wished him good luck now that he’s in New England.

“I would say that it was a lot of good years,” Sirianni said about Brown playing in Philadelphia. “Done a lot of good things with AJ here. Two times in the Super Bowl. I think he was All-Pro multiple times. Pro Bowl multiple times. I would say it was a good run… So many things that [Brown] did that [were] good for our football team and always will wish him the best of luck.”

AJ Brown’s four seasons with the Eagles were successful. He surpassed the 1,000-yard mark each year, finishing with 339 receptions, 5,034 receiving yards, and 32 touchdowns. The seven-year veteran was named a Second-Team All-Pro three times playing for Philadelphia while reaching the Pro Bowl twice.

While Brown experienced success with the Eagles, he seemingly grew frustrated with his role in the offense. Especially last season, when he voiced his frustrations on more than one occasion, and was spotted getting into sideline altercations with Sirianni.

Brown now finds himself in New England, where he reunites with his former Tennessee Titans head coach, Mike Vrabel. AJ Brown will slot in as the Patriots’ No. 1 wide receiver with Drake Maye as his quarterback.
