The Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl champions for the second time in the past decade.

After a frustrating loss in the Wild Card round of the playoffs last year, the Eagles bounced back in a big way, battling to become the team that millions of sports fans watched on Super Bowl Sunday.

The Eagles had to go through Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs to get there, but they did reach the mountaintop, which is always an impressive feat in the ever-changing landscape of the NFL.

After their victory, numerous former Eagles players took to social media to congratulate them, including Nick Foles, who wrote a heartfelt message to the team.

Congratulations to Super Bowl LIX Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles. We are all proud of your performance tonight, showing everyone just how great you are. You are the best in the world. Enjoy every moment with your family, loved ones, and everyone in Philadelphia. Have fun on…

Foles is a legend within the Eagles’ organization, known for his heroics in the team’s first Super Bowl.

He wasn’t supposed to be their starter, as Carson Wentz was putting an MVP-like campaign together before he got injured.

However, Foles filled in nicely, and similarly to this year’s Eagles, took down Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in one of the most exciting title games in recent history.

Foles’ name will forever be imprinted in team history, as will Jalen Hurts’, for becoming the second quarterback to bring the franchise a Lombardi trophy.

This team wasn’t necessarily a favorite to win the Super Bowl heading into the year, but through a lot of hard work and determination, they found a way to get it done.

Grittiness and strong defenses have been the keys to success in the title game in years past, and that’s exactly what the Eagles embodied to get to this point.
