Could Nick Bosa be on his way out?
The San Francisco 49ers turned heads all across the country this week when they made Brock Purdy one of the wealthiest players in the league. This was after the team made a few moves that seemed to show that they were no longer the Super Bowl contenders they once were.
Bosa and McCaffrey are household names for a reason. Bosa won Defensive Player of the Year in 2022 after leading the NFL with 18.5 sacks. Christian McCaffrey was named Offensive Player of the Year in 2023 after pacing the league with 2,023 yards and 21 touchdowns from scrimmage.
Back in March, another big name, Deebo Samuel, was sent packing to the Washington Commanders in exchange for a fifth-round pick.
Could the same happen to another big name?
A new rumor says Nick Bosa might be on the move, and the team he could be headed to is up and coming.
The Chicago Bears are rumored to be pursuing Bos in a blockbuster trade.
Bosa has previously mentioned a desire to eventually play alongside his older brother, Buffalo Bills defensive end Joey Bosa. If the 49ers were to trade him, they would likely send him to an AFC team.

Nick Bosa had a down season by his standards in 2024.
He recorded just 9.5 sacks — his lowest total for a season in which he played more than two games since he was a rookie.
PFF ranks 49ers star Nick Bosa No. 4 among edge defenders for 2025. Put him on a team like the Bears, and his numbers will explode again.
He could single-handedly turn the franchise into a contender.
