A formidable passing attack has become a key part of success in the NFL today. Of course, a playoff contender needs high-level play at the quarterback position. But that QB needs worthwhile weapons to toss the ball to. That is why wide receivers have become so important, and the best of the best are landing massive contracts regularly.
With training camps open around the league, now is a perfect time to take a look at the top 10 wide receiver groups heading into the 2026 NFL season.
A sleeper wide receiver group to keep an eye on in 2026 is the New Orleans Saints. With Tyler Shough at QB, the passing attack has been stabilized, and it showed with Chris Olave (1,163 receiving yards) having the best season of his career.
While the Saints have other players they have high hopes for, many are bullish on NO’s potential because of the addition of dynamic first-round pick Jordyn Tyson.
The hope is that Cam Ward can take another step forward in 2026. Well, he has a talented Tennessee Titans wide receiver corps that should help him do that this season.
Calvin Ridley, when healthy, has shown he can be a 1,000-yard receiver and did it two years ago in Tennessee. But in the offseason, they added Wan’Dale Robinson after a breakout season and Ohio State star Carnell Tate early in the draft. This group has a lot of potential this season.
It’s hard not to have the Seattle Seahawks on this list when they had the best receiver on the planet in 2025. Jaxon Smith-Njigba was unbelievable last year as he posted 1,793 receiving yards and was a big reason why they won the Super Bowl.
However, NFL analysts are high on this WR group because they do have solid options behind JSN. Former Rams star Cooper Kupp returns to offer a solid veteran option, and if Rashid Shaheed can stay healthy, many believe he is primed for a breakout year as a receiver with opposing defenses focusing so much on JSN.
The Jacksonville Jaguars did not have a 1,000 yard receiver in 2025, but there is still a bunch of potential in their WR group if they can get healthy. Parker Washington took a big step forward with more opportunities. Brian Thomas has Pro Bowl talent but missed three games, and Jakobi Meyers — another WR with 1,000-yard talent — played in only 9 games last year.
They can and all should be better in 2026. Then you factor in Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter chipping in as the fourth receiver and Jacksonville can offer serious matchup problems for their AFC South rivals.
Although Chase and Smith-Njigba have taken the spotlight away as the best receiver in the NFL over the last couple of years, Minnesota Vikings superstar Justin Jefferson remains one of the three best in the league....
