The Patriots will face the Carolina Panthers this Sunday, with New England aiming to recover from its 21-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3.

The Patriots had five turnovers in a sloppy performance, and this week might not get any better.

CBS Sports NFL Writer Garrett Podell made bold predictions for Week 4 and predicts that Carolina quarterback Bryce Young will win his second career road start.

“Only Dave Klingler, the sixth overall pick of the 1992 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, had a worse quarterback winning percentage on the road (0-13, .000) than Carolina Panthers 2023 first overall pick Bryce Young currently does (1-14, .067),” Podell wrote Friday. “However, he and the Panthers (5.5-point road underdogs per FanDuel) will upset the pride of North Carolina Drake Maye and the New England Patriots.”

The Patriots must beat the Panthers this Sunday if they want to compete for a playoff spot this season.

New England would have a 1-3 record, with the worst part being that it lost all three games at home.

Playoff teams typically don’t lose their first three home games or fall to underwhelming opponents like the Panthers, who also sit with a 1-2 record but have less talent than the Patriots.
