NFL Win Totals: Dallas Cowboys have the lowest mark in years
Inside The Star Inside The Star

The Dallas Cowboys had gone over in their win total for three straight years when they had a stretch of 12–5 records.

Last year they went 7-10 and even then still almost matched their total despite this team being beaten up by injuries.

This would be the 22nd consecutive season that Dallas has a win total of at least 8, the longest streak by any team this century.

The Cowboys opened last season 16-1 to win the Super Bowl. They are 50-1 this season.

The current over/under on wins for the Dallas Cowboys this season, according to @BetOnline_ag, is 8.5

Their over/under entering last season was 10.

The over/under for the rest of the NFC East in 2025: Eagles 11.5, Commanders 10.5, Giants 5.5

8.5

As the Cowboys enter 2025 with a brand-new coaching staff, the Vegas odds makers think they will take a step back even with Dak Prescott back on the field.

Their over/under for total wins is set at 8.5, which means they would have to win 9 or more games for them to hit that mark, and if they don’t, they will go under for the second year in a row.

I think this is a good number for Dallas.

We are unsure what first-year head coach Brain Schottenheimer will bring to the table, and with the questions that they still have at running back and wide receiver, if I had to bet today, I would take the under.

I don’t think this football team wins more than 8 games.

Yes, the NFL Draft is still to come, but for most, the Cowboys don’t feel like a team capable of producing anything substantial in Schottenheimer’s first year in charge.

For ESPN, the publication has set the Cowboys’ over/under win total at 8.5 wins, and analyst Mike Clay has Schottenheimer’s team down for 7.3 wins in 2025.

With the Giants signing Russell Wilson, don’t be surprised if the Dallas Cowboys are pushing for the bottom spot in the NFC East.

All Dallas Cowboys fans probably feel like Will Zalatoris right now… "Hoping this is going to be the year. 28 years later. I'm still waiting." 😂@heykayadams | @willzalatoris pic.twitter.com/WLGw2eLUJ3

The Eagles just won the Super Bowl, Washington is going to continue to be better, and the Giants have a guy who can actually throw a ball for once.

Work To Be Done

Dante Fowler has been the best free agent move they have made thus far, and since then, they have went cold.

No moves, no nothing. This team needs a lot more help than just what they are going to get from the draft in April.

“We’re not done yet,” Stephen Jones said via The Athletic’s Jon Machota on Sunday. “We still got some things that are out standing that we’re trying to get done.”

Then do something, please?...
