On October 19, the Bears will host the New Orleans Saints at Noon (CT), and they are currently favored by 5.5 points, with the game’s over/under point total at 45.5. The Saints (1-5) lost earlier today to the New England Patriots 25 to 19, in a game where quarterback Spencer Rattler went 20 of 26 for 227 yards, no touchdowns or picks, while being sacked twice. Running back Alvin Kamara, who has been at the center of some trade rumors, ran 10 times for 31 yards and caught five passes for 45.
Defensively, the Saints have recorded 13 sacks on the season, with defensive ends Carl Granderson and Cameron Jordan leading the way with 4.5 and 2.5 sacks, respectively.
Chicago defensive coordinator Dennis Allen was in New Orleans from 2015 to 2024, serving as their head coach beginning in 2022 until being relieved of his duties nine weeks into the 2024 season. Several defenders remain on their current roster, so Allen could have some extra scouting input this week.
