For the second consecutive Sunday, we have no Atlanta Falcons football. This time around, at least we have Monday Night Football to look forward to, instead of a truly Falcons-free football weekend.
Today, there are three NFC South games to monitor. The Patriots are hoping to dispatch the Saints easily, the Cowboys will want to stomp the Panthers to try to climb back into the NFC East, and the Buccaneers and 49ers will square off during the later slate. That last one is particularly important, because a Falcons win and Bucs lose to San Francisco would do wonders in the divisional race for Atlanta, as unlikely as it seems that we’ll get both those outcomes.
