Welcome to the New York Giants betting angle, Week 6 edition! Each week, I’m giving you my three favorite wagers for that week’s New York Giants game. My one rule: I won’t ever give you wagers that are less than -120. No gimmes!
The Giants head home on a short week to face the division-rival Eagles on Thursday night, after stumbling in New Orleans on Sunday. Big Blue got out to an early 14-3 lead behind two TD passes from Jaxson Dart to Theo Johnson, but fell apart in the second half. The last six New York possessions all ended in turnovers (one was on downs), and the Saints took advantage and got their first win.
The Eagles also cratered at the end of their Week 5 game, and it resulted in their first loss of the season. Philly took a 17-3 lead into the fourth quarter at home against Denver, only to see the Broncos score the game’s final 18 points for an impressive 21-17 road win. The Eagles’ offense has struggled all season. 47% of their possessions have been three-and-outs, which is the worst number in the league. Yup, even worse than the Titans, Bengals, and Browns. Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, and the rest have performed miles below expectations thus far. And yet, Philadelphia is 4-1.
The Super Bowl champs will look to right the ship against a team they’ve dominated for a decade-plus. The Eagles are 19-4 against Big Blue in the last 23 meetings, and Philadelphia basically tanked one of the games the Giants won. The line is Philadelphia -7.5, with a game total of 40.5.
I crashed and burned last week (0-3) after three straight winning weeks, and my picks have fallen to right around .500 for the season. Time for a new winning streak!
Here are this week’s picks. All lines and odds are from Fanduel and are as of Wednesday, October 8.
