Well, the fact that the Seahawks rested their starters in the fourth quarter is a significant advantage with less recovery time for this matchup. It’s almost impossible not to remember everything that’s happened in this stadium against the Cardinals, with injuries to Kam Chancellor, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Will Dissly, Quandre Diggs… besides being the last games of Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll for the Seahawks.
Arizona was defeated by the San Francisco 49ers with their backup QB, Mac Jones. They also lost their starting running back, James Conner, who will miss the rest of the season due to an ankle injury. Add to that the Seahawks’ dominant victory over the Saints, and the slight favoritism toward the Cardinals among bookmakers may be a bit surprising.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Seahawks are 1.5-point underdogs. Another thing to consider is the over/under, which stands at 43.5 points. The Seahawks have held their opponents to a maximum of 17 points in their first three games (a first in franchise history). The Cardinals offense scored just 15 points in Week 3, while their defense held the 49ers to 16 points. Given the trends of both teams, this value seems to be right in line with expectations.
The Seahawks, Rams, and Cardinals are tied in the NFC West with a 2-1 record. The Seahawks are 0-1 in the division after losing to the 49ers in Week 1. Therefore, a win is crucial for their future in the division and even their wildcard spot, especially since the 49ers are currently undefeated.
