The Chicago Bears (0-2) may be coming off one of the worst games in franchise history, a 52- 21 loss to the Detroit Lions, but our partners at FanDuel Sportsbook have them as the favorite for week three against the Dallas Cowboys (1-1). The line opened up with Dallas at +1.5, and the game total over/under at 48.5. The game is in Soldier Field, so they get a little home-field bump, but I’m not sure I’d be comfortable taking the Bears minus the points.
The Cowboys hung with the defending champion Eagles all game in their season opener before losing 24 to 20, and they beat the Giants in overtime, 40 to 37, earlier today.
Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott passed for 361 yards, so he has to be salivating at a chance to face a Chicago defense that just allowed Jared Goff to throw for 344. However, the Cowboys’ defense just let New York’s Russell Wilson throw for a whopping 450 yards, so next Sunday we could see the Bears’ aerial attack get on track.
With the way both of these defenses looked today, we could have a shootout on our hands, so I like the over on points. I’ll also keep my eye on the Caleb Williams over/under passing yards prop when it drops.
What are your thoughts on these early odds?
