After a tough Week 1, the Seattle Seahawks find themselves as underdogs again for Week 2.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Pittsburgh Steelers are 2.5-point favorites (the same number as the team’s home loss against the San Francisco 49ers) against the Seattle Seahawks in next Sunday’s matchup at Acrisure Stadium.
The over/under for this matchup is 40.5 points. A bit surprising considering Aaron Rodgers is coming off a 4-TD game, but completely in line when you consider the Seahawks’ offense’s failure in the opener.
The Steelers’ defensive line will have a completely favorable matchup against the Seahawks’ offensive line, which quickly demonstrated why preseason games shouldn’t be considered for future analysis.
Following the Steelers’ expected home favoritism (I think they could even be by more points), the Seahawks have a good chance of starting the season 0-2. This has happened three times in the John Schneider era:
The beginning of the season still presents a time for a lot of overreaction, but in any case, the Seahawks have a lot of work to do if they want to recover.
