NFL Week 17: Early afternoon games discussion thread

The Washington Commanders hosted the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas day, and lost 30-23. The NFL had three games on their holiday slate, two games yesterday, and another 10 games on today’s full schedule. That’s a lot of stress-free football for Commanders fans to (tank) watch.

Fox has four games, and most of the country will be watching an AFC South game that has the Jacksonville Jaguars visiting the Indianapolis Colts. Philip Rivers is set to make his third start in a row, and still looking for his first win with the Colts since coming out of retirement. We’ve also got the Patriots vs the Jets in an AFC South matchup. The Florida Bowl has the Buccaneers visiting the Dolphins. And then there’s the thriller between the Arizona Cardinals and the Cincinnati Bengals.

CBS has three games in their early afternoon lineup and the Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to lock up the AFC North with a win over the Cleveland Browns. The Seattle Seahawks are visiting the Carolina Panthers in a game that could be more entertaining than people expect. The final game of the early slate has the New Orleans Saints visiting the Tennessee Titans in a game that teams near the top of next year’s draft order will be paying close attention to.
