The Seattle Seahawks got to enjoy a stress-free weekend after the improbable, unbelievable 38-37 OT thriller over the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday Night Football. Seattle is currently the No. 1 seed with a clear path to home field advantage…just keep winning.
They’ll have to complete their mission on the road for the rest of this season. Next up is a trip to face the Carolina Panthers. Oddsmakers think Seattle will keep rolling, as they’re (-7.5) favorites according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Sam Darnold revenge game?
Carolina clawed their way to the top of the NFC South with a 23-20 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Panthers 8-7 record belies just how dangerous they can be. Just ask the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams who both fell to Carolina this season. Bryce Young had an efficient game against Tampa Bay, and their running back tandem can be a problem. Plus, those road games in Carolina always seem to be way too close for comfort for Seattle. The Panthers head coach is former Seahawks staffer Dave Canales, so there’s a lot of familiarity there.
Point blank, Seattle needs to win to stay ahead of the pack. Who cares how they have to do it at this point in the season? Just take care of business.
