Pride of Detroit Pride of Detroit

With the Detroit Lions’ big game against the Los Angeles Rams in the late window of Sunday games, fans can enjoy the 1 p.m. ET timeslot unencumbered.

Unfortunately, there’s really only one game that Lions fans should be tuning into during the early slot. The Cleveland Browns take on the Chicago Bears in a frigid game that could mean a lot for the Lions. In fact, if the Bears lose and the Lions beat the Rams later in the day, Detroit will jump into the final Wild Card spot with just three weeks remaining.

The rest of the 1 p.m. ET games don’t offer much else in terms of the NFC playoff picture. The Eagles do face off against the Raiders, but that game has very little impact on the Lions.

That said, if you’re more interested in AFC storylines, there are a few games that should catch your attention. The Los Angeles Chargers have a chance to bury the Kansas City Chiefs’ playoff hopes, and with enough help, Patrick Mahomes and company could be completely eliminated by the end of the day.

Additionally, Bills vs. Patriots is a game that could ultimately decide the No. 1 seed in the conference, and Ravens vs. Bengals is a huge game for both teams, keeping their diminishing playoff chances alive.

Here’s the full 1 p.m. ET slate:

  • Chargers at Chiefs — CBS
