On this fine Sunday afternoon, Green Bay Packers fans will need to wait a little longer to see their team play. The Packers’ big game against the Chicago Bears was flexed from a 12:00 noon Central Time start into the 3:25 PM window, giving it a much wider audience nationwide as the two teams battle for the NFC North lead. However, there are plenty of other big games going on in the early slate today, including two more that will decide the leaders in AFC divisions.
One of those games gets CBS’ top spot on their singleheader Sunday, as the Baltimore Ravens host the Pittsburgh Steelers with both teams holding 6-6 records. As is the case with Packers-Bears as well, this is the first matchup between Baltimore and Pittsburgh this season, with these two rivals set to play in Week 18 to close out the season. That one could end up being a winner-take-all game, but for now the franchises need to get their first matchup out of the way.
The other is also on CBS in the early time slot, with the 8-4 Colts facing the 8-4 Jaguars for the lead in the AFC South. There are still more divisional rivalry games going on across the rest of the NFL as well, with Saints-Buccaneers and Dolphins-Jets joining the fray in the early slate and Broncos-Raiders and Rams-Cardinals adding to the action in the late afternoon.
In the nightcap, this week’s Sunday Night Football matchup should be a good one too. The Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs are both fighting for their playoff lives. Houston is actually in a pretty decent spot and could tie the loser of Colts-Jaguars with a win over the Chiefs, while Kansas City sits at 6-6 and two games back of the Wild Card.
Join us for a fun rivalry Sunday and enjoy all of today’s games!
