NFL Week 12 odds: Seahawks open as massive favorites vs. Titans
Field Gulls Field Gulls

There’s not much time to lament the loss against the Los Angeles Rams. Next week the Seattle Seahawks face the Tennessee Titans, and a win is important to recover/maintain morale. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Seattle is favored by a whopping 12.5 points. This is the Seahawks’ biggest favorite tag this season and it’s the second most lopsided point spread across NFL Week 12 (behind the Baltimore Ravens against the New York Jets).

The 1-9 Titans have already fired their head coach and are already thinking about 2026. Despite expectations of a free sale before the trade deadline, the team has made few moves and kept the limited talent it had on its roster. The over/under is 42.5, a number that would be easily achievable for the Seahawks’ offense, which alone has come close to that number several times this season. In fact, three of the four highest scores in the first half were by the Seahawks.

As stated at the beginning of the article, the game against the Rams is in the past; there’s no point in dwelling on it. With all due respect to the Tennessee franchise, the Seahawks have an obligation to win this matchup, and if they don’t want to complicate things for the rest of the season, they must win decisively.

This is the first matchup between the teams since the 2023 win in the last seconds. And, before that we have the Week 2 2021 loss, which I consider one of the games that started the downfall of Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll in Seattle. It’s also worth noting that there will be familiar faces on the other side: Cody Barton and Jerrick Reed. Before that, the team had Dre’Mont Jones, Quandre Diggs, and Tyler Lockett, but Jones and Lockett are on other teams, while Diggs is a free agent.
