Field Gulls
One more international game, everyone! Yes, one more 6:30 am PT kickoff for NFL football! And it’s the 3-7 Washington Commanders against the 3-7 Miami Dolphins. Oh joy! It’s the first time the NFL has played regular season football in Spain, and the venue choice is the beautiful Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid, home to Real Madrid CF.
Due to the poor showing of the Commanders defense, Dan Quinn has seen enough and is calling the defensive plays moving forward in place of defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr. The second season slump is real for the Commanders after last year’s shocking NFC Championship Game run.
The main 10 am PT kickoff is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills on CBS, while FOX is focused on the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis.
Enjoy the games! We’ll see you in the Seattle Seahawks vs. Los Angeles Rams 1st half game thread at about 12:30 pm PT.
