NFL Trade Deadline 2025: Packers keep their picks

Despite the rumors that the Green Bay Packers were interested in a cornerback at the trade deadline, the team made no such trade on Tuesday. With six trades on deadline day, this was the third-most active deadline day in league history. Here’s the sobering reality: Trades are infrequent in the NFL.

Below are the trades that were made:

  • The Dallas Cowboys traded their 2026 7th-round pick for Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson.
  • The Jacksonville Jaguars traded their 2026 4th- and 6th-round picks for Las Vegas Raiders receiver Jakobi Meyers, following the injury to second overall rookie Travis Hunter.
  • The Indianapolis Colts traded their 2026 and 2027 1st-round picks, along with former 2nd-round receiver Adonai Mitchell, for New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner.
  • The Seattle Seahawks traded their 2026 4th- and 5th-round picks for New Orleans Saints receiver Rashid Shaheed.
  • The Chicago Bears traded their 2026 6th-round pick for Cleveland Browns defensive end Joe Tryon-Shoyinka.
  • The Dallas Cowboys traded their 2026 2nd-round pick, a 2027 1st-round pick and former 1st-round defensive tackle Mazi Smith for New York Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams. The highest of the two 2027 1st-round picks that the Cowboys own, including the one from Green Bay that they got via the Micah Parsons trade, will be the one sent to New York.
  • Just before the deadline, the Los Angeles Chargers traded for New Orleans Saints offensive lineman Trevor Penning, a former 1st-round pick. The details of that trade have yet to be announced.

I’m not sure I would have made any of these trades for the Packers, but feel free to vent about the inaction in the comment section.
