Cleveland Browns star edge rusher Myles Garrett wants out from the franchise.

Garrett, a six-time Pro Bowler and the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year has officially requested a trade.

Garrett is the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year and has spent his entire career with the Browns after he was taken with the No. 1 overall pick out of Texas A&M in the 2017 NFL Draft.

He released a statement regarding his request and explained why he wanted to leave the Browns organization.

The NFL’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year wrote in a statement that his goal “has always been to compete for and win a Super Bowl.”

The Cleveland Browns fan base has had enough and is taking things to the next level.

Amid Myles Garrett’s trade request, Browns fans have organized a protest outside the stadium. They are demanding that general manager Andrew Berry be fired and the team keep Garrett.

Myles Garrett Could Bring Back a Substantial Package For A Cleveland Browns Organization

Myles Garrett isn’t going anywhere any time soon as Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry told reporters at the Senior Bowl last week that he wouldn’t trade Garrett no matter what the team is offered.

He also made it clear that the Browns would turn down an offer of two first-round picks.

Cleveland is currently more than $30 million over the salary cap for 2025, and the future is looking bleak as they still have Deshaun Watson on his massive deal and have accomplished nothing with him since trading for him.

If Cleveland wanted to have any type of future, parting ways with Garrett would drastically accelerate their rebuilding.
