New England Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson made a strong impression over the past four games. His former college teammate, New Orleans Saints receiver Chris Olave, believes that Henderson is on track for a bright future in the NFL.

“Henderson is going to tear the NFL up,” Olave said on Friday during “Up & Adams”.

Olave and Henderson played together at Ohio State in 2021, with Olave being a senior and Henderson a freshman. However, Henderson wasn’t your typical college freshman, as he made an impact by appearing in 13 games, rushing for 1,248 yards and scoring 15 touchdowns.

Henderson successfully translated his college performance into an NFL career. During “Thursday Night Football” against the New York Jets, he carried the ball 19 times for 62 yards and scored two touchdowns, while also catching a touchdown pass.

The 23-year-old running back is making New England’s offense difficult to stop, especially with quarterback Drake Maye’s impressive performance.

New England needed to bolster its running game, and Henderson appears to be the player who could step up as the starting running back, potentially igniting a deep playoff run this season.
