NFL sideline reporter Sara Walsh will work Thursday’s game despite hurting her toe just hours before kickoff. She’ll report for the Washington Commanders vs. Dallas Cowboys game on Netflix.

Walsh shared the news herself on Christmas Eve. She posted a photo of her injured toe on her Instagram Story. The image showed a badly damaged toe, but Walsh still kept her humor intact, even while dealing with obvious pain.

She joked that a cart had to take her off the field on Christmas Eve, and it was a bit surprising that she kept herself calm in such a situation.

Walsh Revealed It Hours Before Kickoff

Walsh probably broke her toe. But she posted it in a chill and funny way.

“How can you tell it’s broken?” Walsh wrote. “I looked at it.”

The photo showed NFL sideline reporter Mike Walsh with a swollen, discolored injury that looked serious. Despite that, she plans to work the game and report from the field during Thursday’s Christmas Day matchup between the Commanders and Cowboys at 1 p.m. ET, airing on Netflix.

Walsh now works for NFL Network and previously covered the league for ESPN. She began her career at WUSA in Washington, D.C., as a weekend sports anchor and Redskins beat reporter from 2006 to 2010.

She didn’t share details about treatment or recovery, keeping her focus on the game.

Walsh kept the situation light, but the photo really looked painful.
