The NFL trade deadline this season is on Tuesday, November 4. at 4:00 PM ET and it could be an unusually active market of deals. With a clearer market of buyers and sellers emerging, there’s a variety of NFL trade rumors emerging as of late.
Let’s dive into the latest NFL rumors just a few weeks out ahead of the deadline.
There haven’t been many bright spots this season on the Cincinnati Bengals defense, but the team has seen rookies Demetrius Knight Jr. and Barrell Carter firmly entrench themselves as starters at off-ball linebacker. It’s come at the cost of playing time for veteran Logan Wilson. As first reported by Ben Baby of ESPN.com, Wilson has requested a trade. A third-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Wilson has recorded 100-plus total tackles in each of the last three seasons with five forced fumbles from 2023–24. The 29-year-old linebacker is under contract through 2027, carrying a cap hit of $9.55 million next year. Given his familiarity with Lou Anarumo, Wilson could be a potential option for the Indianapolis Colts.
One of the few constants at the NFL trade deadline is the availability of wide receivers, it’s just a question about the caliber of pass-catchers available. This year, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz, teams are monitoring potential deals for New Orleans Saints wide receivers Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed. Both wideouts are on expiring contracts, though Dianna Russini of The Athletic, reports New Orleans is attempting to first sign Olave to a contract extension.
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is one of the most in-demand players ahead of the NFL trade deadline. He’s under contract through 2027, at a minimum, carrying just an $8 million cap hit this season and an $11.658 million cap hit next year. However, ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, Miami hasn’t shown any willingness to trade Waddle and the organization views him as a building block moving forward.
