NFL rumors: Cowboys, Bills, Bears, Patriots already put on Maxx Crosby trade watch

Since Myles Garrett was traded to the Los Angeles Rams, there have been rumors of other edge rushers possibly getting traded. Some of those rumors turned out not to be true, but the latest one could happen if all the pieces come together for several teams.

Maxx Crosby was headed to the Baltimore Ravens earlier in the offseason until they nixed the trade, and he had to go back to the Las Vegas Raiders. The Ravens weren’t so sure about his knee injury, and that also may have made teams look at him a bit differently as far as whether they wanted to trade for him.

Teams will most likely wait until he gets on the field to see how he looks, and ESPN’s Dan Graziano mentioned four teams to watch who could have interest in him.

“Crosby might stick with the Raiders all year at this point, but if he’s going to get traded at all, we’re probably looking at something in-season ahead of the deadline. If a team such as the Cowboys, Bills, Bears or Patriots finds itself in contention and in need of an impact pass rusher, things could get interesting here again,” Graziano wrote.

All four of those teams don’t have a premier edge rusher on their team, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them have interest at some point. The Patriots just traded for A.J. Brown, and if they get into the Crosby sweepstakes, that shows that they’re going all in this season.

The Bears and Cowboys were two teams that were rumored to have an interest in Crosby before he was initially traded to the Ravens, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if they circled back. As for the Bills, they need some help on defense, and adding Crosby would be a step in the right direction.
