The Philadelphia Eagles got the 27-13 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday.
However, it came at a cost for Eagles Pro Bowl quarterback Jalen Hurts, who wore two separate shoe colors during the game.
On one foot, he wore a shoe that had Eagles’ green; on the other, he wore a much lighter shade of green.
According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, the league has now fined Hurts $5,628 for violating its uniform and equipment rules.
As Pelissero notes, Hurts was officially fined for wearing a shoe that’s not one of the Eagles’ “constitutional team colors.”

The NFL is very strict about what players wear on game days and their normal attire.
Now, there might be some fans and even players out there wondering why the league is fining players for something as small as the color of their shoes.
In short, who knows exactly why that is the case?
Perhaps the league likes to keep things a certain way and make sure the fabric of the game is still the same as it has always been.
For example, if a player shows up to a game wearing red cleats while his team’s colors are green and yellow, that might not exactly fit the bill for the NFL.
However, it still feels as if you can be fined for anything nowadays in the NFL, and clothing apparel or footwear apparently is a big deal in the eyes of the league office.
