The New England Patriots are perhaps the hottest team in the NFL heading into Week 10 of the 2025 NFL campaign. However, they will face one of their biggest tests of the season when they head down south to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
With the Pats rattling off six-straight wins, they have announced themselves as a true playoff contender from seemingly out of nowhere. Those who want to poke holes in the team’s success, though, have been quick to note that they have benefited from a historically easy schedule.
For one week at least, New England has a matchup with a true playoff contender. And if you ask the folks over at NFL Network, they don’t have much faith in the Patriots, as nine out of 10 of their writers picked the Bucs to win their upcoming matchup.
It isn’t a total surprise to see the Buccaneers are favored to win this game. Not only are they a more established contender than the Patriots, but they are playing at home and are fresh off their bye week in Week 9.
Some folks will discount New England’s record, but winning in the NFL is hard, regardless of who your opponent is. Tampa Bay is dealing with several key injuries that could ultimately tilt the scales in the Pats’ favor once the two teams take the field, too.
Regardless of what ends up happening, this should be another great measuring stick contest for the Patriots. They pulled off a big upset against the Buffalo Bills back in Week 5, so who’s to say they can’t do it again in Week 10? Kickoff for this highly anticipated matchup is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon.
