Good news for out-of-market Seahawks fans!
The Seattle Seahawks will not have any national television broadcasts for preseason, but there is good news for fans who live outside the Seahawks regional market.
On Wednesday the NFL Network announced which preseason games will be available as a live simulcast, and all three Seahawks exhibitions have been selected.
Seattle’s preseason kicks off with a Thursday night (7 pm PT) matchup on Aug. 7 against Pete Carroll’s Las Vegas Raiders, followed by a Friday night (7 pm PT) clash on Aug. 15 against the Kansas City Chiefs, and then their lone road trip on Saturday afternoon (Aug. 23, 1 pm PT) versus the Green Bay Packers.
Usually NFL Network broadcasts the home team’s local feed, in which case you’d get the Seahawks broadcast for the Raiders and Chiefs games and the Packers feed for the preseason finale.
If you live in Seattle’s regional preseason market, then NFL Network will be blacked out. For those who are outside of the market and have NFL Network, you’ve got yourself a legal option for watching the Seahawks play. The NFL+ streaming service also supports out-of-market preseason broadcasts.
Are you hyped yet? We’ve only got two more months of waiting before football is back.
