NFL fans are in for something fresh and long overdue. Jamie Erdahl is stepping into the spotlight this week as the face of a special two-day Good Morning Football event, leading an all-women cast on NFL Network.

The Thursday and Friday broadcasts promise a different kind of energy, rooted in sharp football insight and a deep love for the game, all from voices who have spent years covering the sport from the sidelines to the studio.

“This is going to feel like GMFB, just turned up a bit,” Erdahl said. “Same personality, same energy, just brought to you by a group of women who know and love this game just as much as anyone else.”

She’s not kidding. The Emmy-nominated morning show isn’t just mixing things up for the sake of novelty. It’s showing the talent and perspective that’s already reshaped how fans connect with football.

Power-Packed Lineup And Special Guests

Thursday’s lineup includes Erdahl, NFL Network analyst Cynthia Frelund, veteran reporter Jane Slater, and Bengals beat writer Kelsey Conway. These names carry weight across the league, not just for the analysis they offer but also for the credibility they’ve built with teams, players, and fans.

Friday’s show rotates in new faces, with Slater returning alongside Giants team reporter Madelyn Burke and NFL and college football reporter Tamara Brown. Erdahl will once again anchor the desk, keeping the energy high and the conversation sharp.

NFL Network didn’t stop there. Both episodes will feature a slate of high-profile guests including Andrea Kremer, a Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame inductee, and CBS sideline staple Tracy Wolfson. Grammy winner Melissa Etheridge is set to make an appearance, adding a pop-culture twist. Viewers can also expect to hear from Division 1 flag football standout Ki’lolo Westerlund, seasoned sports reporter Dawn Mitchell, and Sunday Sports Club host Allison Kuch.

This week’s special programming comes during a time of change for Good Morning Football. Peter Schrager recently left the show after nearly a decade, moving to ESPN. Akbar Gbajabiamila also exited after a single season. With former Notre Dame standout Manti T’eo joining the team later this year, the show is clearly evolving. But for now, it’s Erdahl’s moment to lead- and she’s bringing a powerful lineup with her.
