This is sure to irritate Philadelphia Eagles fans. An NFL insider is predicting that an AFC team will win the Super Bowl this upcoming season and not their beloved Birds who will be trying to repeat.

NFL.com’s Jeffri Chadiha believes 2025 will finally be the year the Buffalo Bills win their first Super Bowl.

Since 2020 under quarterback Josh Allen, who was the 2024 NFL MVP, and head coach Sean McDermott, the Bills have made five consecutive playoff appearances and reached the AFC Championship game twice, including last season. However, they’ve lost to the Kansas City Chiefs four times — including both conference title games — and to the Cincinnati Bengals at home during the 2022 Divisional Round.

Chadiha notes that with Buffalo’s improved defense and less-than-imposing schedule, they have a strong chance of earning the AFC’s top seed.

“The defense added some nice pieces in the 2025 NFL Draft, including speedy cornerback Maxwell Hairston and edge rusher Landon Jackson,” writes Chadiha. “The schedule also looks favorable, with Buffalo playing 10 games against teams that didn’t produce a winning record in 2024. There’s basically never been a better time for the Bills to earn the top seed in the AFC and potentially host a conference championship game. And if they can do that, they should win the whole damn thing.”

The Bills famously went to the Super Bowl for four consecutive seasons — 1990-1993 — and lost all four times to NFC East teams: the New York Giants, Washington Redskins, and back-to-back to the Dallas Cowboys.

Bills fans have waited decades to celebrate the Lombardi Trophy in Buffalo. If Chadiha’s prediction holds, they will be doing just that in February 2026.
