Streaming service MGM+ has been releasing episodes from season four of their NFL Icons series over the past month. The series is in conjunction with NFL Films and profiles legends from the NFL world from the various eras of the sport.

The four-episode season features profiles on Kurt Warner, DeMarcus Ware, and Joe Montana and their fourth and final episode of the season debuts today and features none other than the great Gale Sayers.

The 45-minute episode features rare photos and footage from Sayers’ career and also profiles his early life including interviews with those who knew Gale best, as well as archived commentary from Sayers himself as it chronicles the highs and lows of a Hall of Fame career that could have been even greater if Sayers’ career wasn’t derailed by injuries. The episode also discusses his relationship with Brian Piccolo which inspired the movie, “Brian’s Song.”

The show is a must for any Bears fan who loves history or wants to learn more about the legendary Chicago Bears running back.

Sayers is the youngest player ever inducted into the Hall of Fame. In just 68 games, Sayers still had remarkable accomplishments. He was first-team All-Pro the first five seasons of his career and finished top 5 in the MVP voting in his first four.
