Higgins deserves to be paid. Will it come from the Bengals?
The Cincinnati Bengals’ most important offseason in franchise history is upon us as multiple contract extensions are due, and free agency is needed to be aced more than ever.
There is no way out for the Bengals in the next few months, and it is now time for the front office to open their wallet and show they want to win.
Joe Burrow has gone out of his way to show face and apply pressure on the Bengals front office, making it clear these extensions for Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Trey Hendrickson need to happen.
But is it too much? Logically for the Bengals, no... Historically for the Bengals, maybe...
Jason La Canfora of the Washington Post chatted with one NFL GM who believes Tee Higgins is going to earn $30M per season.
Another GM believes, “Burrow is going to be pissed. No way they are keeping more than two of those four (Mike Gesicki included).”
If the Bengals truly want to win, this offseason will go down as the most historic in franchise history...
If the Bengals truly do not care about winning and just wanna make a buck, this offseason may go down as the most disappointing in franchise history...
We shall see.
